The Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies Program (LALACS) at Dartmouth College seeks candidates to nominate for the Rockefeller Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the academic year 2005-2006. The successful candidate from LALACS will be forwarded to a larger pool of applicants drawn from social science departments, interdisciplinary programs, and research groups within the Rockefeller Center. The fellowship is a nine-month commitment, with the possibility of a second nine-month renewal at the discretion of the Center's director. The term of appointment is September 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006. The total salary is $34,000 and comes with full benefits. Candidates must have research interests in Latin American, Latino, and/or Caribbean studies and some aspect of public policy, and be eligible to teach a course for the Public Policy Minor that may also be cross-listed in the program. The fellow will have a joint appointment in the program and the Center. Other expectations of post-doctoral fellows include the presentation of their research at a Rockefeller Faculty Seminar and participation in Center-sponsored events and program colloquia as appropriate. In addition, fellows are expected to acknowledge Rockefeller Center sponsorship in any publications resulting from research they undertake while in residence at the College.
