Estimados miembros de la Sección Cuba de LASA:

En Montreal expresaron su decisión a través del voto directo y válido 121 miembros de la Sección (13 de los votos pertenecieron a miembros que actualizaron su membresía en octubre y 5 boletas fueron anuladas por no corresponderse con los miembros de la sección). Con posterioridad, 32 miembros votaron a través del correo electrónico habilitado a los efectos en Yahoo para recepcionar las boletas (una de ellas llegó en blanco y fue anulada).  Muchas gracias a los 153 miembros que votaron!

Las boletas emitidas en Montreal fueron contadas en Montreal. Los votos emitidos a través del correo electrónico fueron contados por Félix Valdés, miembro del comité electoral, y enviado a Raul Fernández y Sheryl Lutjens para su inclusion en los resultados de la primera fase del proceso electoral.

Dear Section Members:

In Montreal, 121 Section members cast direct and valid paper votes (13 ballots had to be confirmed with the updated membership list received in October, of which 5 were disqualified for lack of membership), and after the Congress 32 members voted by attaching filled-out ballots to a Yahoo! email address dedicated to the receipt of the ballots (although one ballot was blank and thus invalid).  Thanks very much to all 153 of you who voted!

The Montreal ballots were tallied in Montreal. The ballots sent by email were tallied by Félix Valdés, member of the election committee, and then sent on to election committee members Raul Fernández and Sheryl Lutjens to be included with the vote count from the first stage of the elections.
