Faculty in 7 campuses of the University of California (Berkeley,UCLA, Irvine, Riverside, Santa Cruz, Davis, and San Diego) have officially formed a Multi-Campus Research Program, authorized by the Office of the President of the University of California.
The UC-CUBA MRP, as it will be known, will be focused on research and academic exchange between UC faculty, librarians, students and other academicians, and their counterpart institutions and individuals in Cuba. The first director of the UC-CUBA initiative will be Professor Raul Fernandez of UC Irvine.
